While some of these cases offered many conveniences to society, some of them had negative implications and effects. One of the negative phenomena in question is the concept of cyber mobbing, which is similar to traditional mobbing and is a form of bullying carried to the virtual environment, especially with social media. For this reason, it is very important to reveal the differences regarding the phenomenon of cyber mobbing and to increase the level of awareness. Methods: In this study, it is aimed to examine cyber mobbing with multivariate sequential preference models. The data obtained from the survey results applied to 1933 students were analyzed. Results: As an ineffective bystander, a significant correlation is found between the cyber mobbing process and the place of encounter, the people who engage in cyber mobbing and the way they encountered cyber mobbing. It has been determined that individuals who encounter situations such as exclusion and marginalization and being exposed to biting words are more likely to encounter cyber mobbing within 1-6 months as a bystander who pity the victim. As the level of encountering cyber mobbing increases in environments such as friends and family, it has been determined that the probability of encountering cyber mobbing in less than 1 month as a bystander who takes a side stance towards the victim is higher. Conclusions: Low awareness increases the risk of students encountering more cyberbullying.
