All Rights Reserved.With this study, it was aimed to determine the problems faced by school counselor who give family education to the families of children aged 0-18 and to examine the factors affecting these problems. Qualitative research method was used in this study. The working group constitutes 30 school counselor who are trainer of 0-18 age family training program in Çankaya, Keçiören and Yenimahalle districts of Ankara, within the academic year of 2016-2017. As data collection tool, semi-structured “Trainer Interview Form” including “Participant Profile” and “Research Questions” developed by researcher has been used. The answers obtained from the data collection tools were analysed using content analysis technic from qualitative research methods. According to the obtained results, it is determined that the problems encountered in family training are composed of three main titles. These titles are; problems arising in opening the course, problems originating from the trainees and problems originating from the program. It has been identified that the problems experienced during the course opening arise from the participants, from the course environment, from the attitude of the administrators, from the lack of publicity, from the timing of the course and from the official transactions. It has been found out that problems caused by the learner result from individual problems of learner, problems about active participation, and communication problems experienced during the course. Problems related with the program arise from the implementation of the program, instructional challenges and the problems due to shortage of equipment experienced during the course.
