In the present work, new cyclotriphosphazene derivatives bearing 4-hydroxycoumarin groups have been reported and studied fluorescence properties for the first time. The reactions of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene [trimer, N3P3CI6, (1)] with 2,2'-methylenediphenol (2) and 1,1'-methylenedi-2-naphthol (3) in THE produced mono-and dispiro cyclotriphosphazene compounds (4-7). Then, the reaction of compounds 4-7 and 4-hydroxycoumarin (8) gave new cyclotriphosphazene compounds (9-12). All these compounds (4-12) have been fully characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, H-1, C-13 and P-31 NMR spectroscopy. The fluorescence properties of the synthesized new compounds were studied. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
