Busan Port is a significant player in South Korea's global trade and a key component in the country's foreign trade operations. International trade facilitated through Busan Port, significantly contributes to the country's economic growth and gross domestic product particularly in sectors such as container shipping, automobile exports, chemicals, and electronics. The advantages offered by the port ensure that international trade is conducted swiftly and reliably, substantially enhancing South Korea's trade potential. This study focuses on investigating the container traffic volume at Busan Port using the Sequential Bai-Perron test. While the examination of the period from 2004Q1 to 2023Q4 reveals fluctuations in the port's container traffic volume, it also indicates a positive trend coefficient over time. The recognition of Busan Port as the world's sixth busiest port by the World Shipping Council in 2021 underscores its significant role on the international stage and signals its potential for further growth in the future. Sustaining this momentum will not only contribute to enhancing South Korea's international trade capacity but also to elevating its economic and commercial prominence.
