Introduction: The concepts of health and economics are two concepts that are closely related to each other. While health aims to provide people with a quality life, the concept of economy provides us with the analytics necessary to achieve our goals with scarce resources. As epidemics and chronic diseases, which are increasing day by day, impose heavy costs on individuals and states, the relationship between health and economy has been more clearly revealed. For this reason, countries are looking for ways to save enough funds for health, and individuals are looking for ways to lead a healthy life. The aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between the income levels of individuals and a healthy lifestyle and the direction of this relationship. Methods: The relationship between healthy lifestyle behavior and income will be examined in six sub-scales. The target population of the research consists of people between the ages of 18-65 residing in Turkey. Study data were collected with a demographic questionnaire and “Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale”. Participants were also asked about their weight, height, whether they smoked or used alcohol, whether they had received any health education and whether they had chronic diseases. Participants were asked about their height and weight, and it was investigated whether there was a relationship between obesity and income in line with their body mass index. The data were obtained through google form and face-to-face survey method. A total of 582 questionnaires were applied and the data were analyzed in the SPSS 22.0 program. Binary logistic regression analysis was used in the study. Results: The study is very important in terms of approaching the concept of health economics, which has recently occupied a large place in state budgets, in terms of healthy life, in terms of raising awareness about the importance of a healthy body and sports in our lives, highlighting the effect of income on healthy lifestyles and the suggestions it offers. When the healthy lifestyle behavior subscales and income were examined, health responsibility and stress management and income were found to be statistically significant, while physical activity, diet, spirituality and interpersonal relationships and income were not found to be statistically significant. Additionally in the study, smoking, receiving any health-related education and health responsibility were found to be statistically significant according to the 5% significance level. The other significant variable was found as people whose income is 20001 TL or more. Conclusions: As a solution, it is necessary to raise more awareness about the healthy lifestyle behavior of individuals through advertisements and public service announcements. In addition, encouraging policies should be implemented by the state for a healthy lifestyle. Providing free courses that can increase their health responsibilities or teach ways to cope with stress, especially to individuals with low or low incomes, may be an incentive for these individuals to adopt a healthier life and ensure continuity.
