Objective: This study was conducted to examine the correlation between life satisfaction and prenatal attachment levels of pregnant women. Material and Methods: The study was conducted with 264 pregnant women who applied to the outpatient clinics of a maternity hospital located in Erzurum between 1 December 2016 and 20 February 2017 and met the inclusion criteria. As a result of the analysis, the sample of the study consisted of 264 pregnant women. The data were collected by using personal information form, Life Satisfaction Scale (LSS) and Prenatal Attachment Inventory (PAI). The data were evaluated by using descriptive statistics and Pearson’s Correlation Analysis. Results: It was determined that 31.1% of the pregnant women were in the age range of 20-24 years, 54.9% had a nuclear family, 28.8% had their first pregnancy, and 64.4% had planned pregnancy. They obtained a total mean score of 23.37±6.47 from LSS and a total mean score of 55.56±12.81 from PAI. While examining the correlation between the mean scores of LSS and PAI, it was determined that there was a positively significant correlation between life satisfaction and prenatal attachment of pregnant women (p=0.007, r=0.165). Conclusion: According to total mean scores obtained by the pregnant women from LSS and PAI, it was found that their life satisfaction and prenatal attachment levels were at high level. It was determined that as their life satisfaction increased, the prenatal attachment levels also increased.
