Abstract
Foam materials have gained extensive popularity
in different areas of engineering due to their unique mechanical properties.
Free vibration analysis is required for the design process of these materials.
In this study, the free vibration responses of multi-layered aluminum
foam/syntactic foam cores were analyzed experimentally. The focus was placed on
the effects of foam core in the locations. The samples' natural frequencies and
damping ratios were investigated under fixed-free boundary conditions. The
vibration tests were performed with the PULSE vibration measurement system
using the impulse frequency response technique.
