NONTRADITIONAL ACTIVATION METHODS IN GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE APPLICATIONS, Bela Torok,CHRISTIAN SCHAFER, Editör, Elsevier Science, Oxford/Amsterdam , Cambridge, ss.329-345, 2021
Electrochemistry, which is called raw redox chemistry, is a very
popular method used by synthetic chemists.1 The application of the electric
potential to initiate interaction between molecules and ensure the formation
of new products is one of the important features of electrifying organic synthesis. Using electrons as a reagent also enables reactions with little or no
waste formation. In addition, it is known that electrochemistry reduces
the number of steps of many syntheses (step economic reactions),2 creates
milder conditions,2 and enables green and sustainable technologies such as
high atom economic reactions.1,2
