Özet
Chronic pain is one of the most prevalent health problems worldwide and often requires a multidisciplinary approach for treatment. In recent years, it has been understood that the gut microbiota plays an important role in the pathogenesis and treatment of chronic pain. This chapter examines the complex relationship between gut microbiota and chronic pain, interactions on the microbiota–gut–brain axis, and potential therapeutic applications of microbiota modulation in chronic pain management. In light of current literature, the role of gut microbiota in various chronic pain syndromes and the efficacy of microbiota-based therapeutic approaches are evaluated.
