Özet

The importance of renewable energy sources is gradually increasing because of the decrease in fossil energy resources and their harmful effects on the environment. Solar power plants, which are obtained from the serial and parallel connection of photovoltaic (PV) panels, are one of the most preferred renewable energy sources. The most important disadvantage of PV panels is their low efficiency. They are required to operate at the maximum power point (MPP) in order to obtain desirable efficiency levels. In this study, an optimization algorithm based on Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is proposed to increase the efficiency of the PV panels. Topsun TS-S407 brand PV panel is used during the implementation phase. The performance of the ANFIS based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm has been compared with one of the classical optimization algorithms names as Incremental Conductance (INC). As a result of the simulation study, it has been shown that ANFIS based MPPT is more successful than INC for several irradiation and constant temperature conditions.
