Trafik kazaları ölümlü, yaralanmalı ve maddi hasarlı olarak geçmişten günümüze kadar önemli problemlerden biridir. Trafik kazaları genellikle sürücü ve araç, hava şartları, yol ve çevre özelliklerine bağlı nedenlerle meydana gelmektedir. Bu doğrultuda trafik kazalarını etkileyen faktörler ve etkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada Ankara ilinde 2010-2015 yılları arasında meydana gelen ölümlü, yaralanmalı ve maddi hasarlı kaza verileri kullanılmıştır. Kazaya neden olan faktörler arasındaki bağımlı ve bağımsız değişkenler belirlenerek yapısal eşitlik modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda araştırma modeli kapsamında, kazanın yeri ve konumu, kaza türü, hava şartları, yol ve çevre özellikleri, sürücü faktörü değişkenlerinin kaza sonucunu etkilediği tespit edilmiştir.
Traffic accidents are one of the major problems of many countries for many years as mortal, injured and materially damaged accidents despite the technological advances. Traffic accidents are caused by driver and vehicle, weather conditions, pedestrians, road and environment characteristics related factors. In this direction, the factors and effects that affect traffic accidents are examined. In the study, 934 mortality, injured and materially damaged accident data that occurred for the period 2010-2015 were used in Ankara. Dependent and independent variables were determined among the factors causing the accident and the relationship between these variables was analyzed by the structural equation model. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the location and position of the boiler, accident type, weather conditions, road and environment characteristics, driver factor variables affected the accident result within the scope of the research model.
