Özet

Food allergies have increased in recent years and the skin is one of the most common sites of involvement. Eggs, peanuts, and milk are the most common allergens in the population. Cutaneous involvement of food allergies manifests in various clinical presentations such as acute urticaria, angioedema, contact dermatitis, aggravation of atopic dermatitis, and contact urticaria. The importance of cutaneous sensitization in the development of food allergy and other allergic diseases has been emphasized recently. Preventive measures such as early regular use of emollients and early introduction of allergenic foods have shown promising results in preventing food allergy and atopic dermatitis. In addition to allergic diseases, milk is associated with acne and hidradenitis suppurativa by stimulating anabolic metabolic pathways. Although there are many studies showing the association between milk and acne, there is not enough evidence for hidradenitis suppurativa
