Ottoman Public Economy Party is one of the political parties of the Armistice Period. This party is the first political organization to enter the political scene by adopting the national economy policy. The party program includes many provisions in the political, social, economic and agricultural fields related to the future administration of the state. The program, which has a democratic and contemporary spirit as well as national one, consists of 10 sections titled Esasiyat (Fundamentals), Teskilat (Organizational), Dahili (Domestic), Ictimai (Social), Maarif (Educational), Adli (Judicial), Mali (Financial), Umrani (Reconstructive), Zirai (Agricultural) and Iktisadi (Economic), and 143 articles under them. In the program, there are provisions related to the necessary applications and policies to help the country get out of the financial crisis. Some of these provisions had also been referred to in the documents of the early republican period, such as the Teskilat-i Esasiye Kanunu, the first constitution of Turkey, dated 1921, the Izmir Economy Congress, in which the national economic policies of the Ataturk period were determined, dated 17 February-4 March 1923, and the election manifesto (Dokuz Umde) published by the First Grand National Assembly on April 8, 1923. In this study; some provisions in the program of the Ottoman Public Economy Party program were compared with the provisions in the mentioned documents belonging to the early Republican period. Thus, the effects of the Ottoman Public Economy Party, which was established in the Armistice Period, on the transition process to the Republic were tried to be explained.
