Özet

In this study, the performance of an adsorption cooling system for various adsorbent-adsorbate working pairs has been theoretically investigated for different adsorption, desorption, evaporator and condenser temperatures. Equilibrium adsorption capacity of the working pair used in the system was evaluated by the Dubinin-Astakhov (D-A) equation. The amount of energy supplied to the system during regeneration period is evaluated by the heat of adsorption of the working pair. Generally, among the adsorbent-adsorbate working pairs investigated, silica gel-water working pair is the best in terms of the performance evaluation. Performance of the system is significantly getting better with increasing evaporator-desorption temperatures and with decreasing condenser-adsorption temperatures.
