Özet

Haci Ali Turabi is the nineteenth leader of the association of Haci Bektash Veli Dervish Lodge and the nineteenth Unmarried Baba of the Nazenin-Babagan Bektashi Way. Haci All Turabi, a sufi and a poet having collected poems and also a folk poet playing the saz well, has an important place in the Alewi-Bektashi tradition and among the folk poets with his poems and souls. In this study, information about the life of Haci All Turabi, his works, sufistic and literary personality were given; a confirmed copy of his practicing certificate was converted into Turkish letters and the Arabic text was translated into contemporary Turkish. Practicing certificates, having an important place within written Alewi-Bektashi tradition, include the rituals of sufi order and moral principles as well as historical knowledge. In the analysis of the Practicing Certificate, along with historical knowledge, the characteristics that a follower of the sufi order should possess, purification of the self and soul and zuhd as concepts taking place in the applications of moral principles were stressed besides the focus on the necessity of being loyal to our Prophet and his ahl al-bayt.
