Özet
This study employs Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) to evaluate sustainable agriculture priorities in Türkiye and Erzurum, addressing climate change and resource scarcity. Using a two-stage expert consultation process—comprising a 5-expert Nominal Group Technique (NGT) panel to establish criteria and a 16-expert panel (encompassing Geography and Agricultural Sciences specialists with 5 to 25+ years of experience) using the Best-Worst Method (BWM)—a hierarchical framework of three main dimensions and 16 sub-criteria was evaluated; the core panel participated across both national and regional evaluations while expanded experts assessed localized priorities. Results indicate that Soil Management is the primary environmental priority for both regions. Socially, Education emerged as the most critical factor. Economic priorities diverged, with Agricultural Inputs leading across Türkiye, while Product Selection and Productivity proved paramount for Erzurum. These findings underscore the necessity of aligning sustainable agricultural policies with regional dynamics rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. By identifying localized weighting for sustainability criteria, this research provides a strategic framework for decision-makers to optimize agricultural management systems and enhance regional resilience.
