The oil obtained by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts of Cnidium silaifolium (JACQ.) Simonkai subsp. orientale (Boiss.) Tutin from Turkey was analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Twenty five components were characterized, representing 99.8 % of the total components detected and the major compounds were kessane (32.7 %), alpha-copaene (10.9 %), beta-caryophyllene (8.2 %), alpha-pinene (7.9 %) and delta-cadinene (7.0 %).
