In this study, the artificial intelligence–based chatbots ChatGPT-5, Deepseek V3.2, and Perplexity were presented with frequently asked questions (FAQs) from parents regarding their children’s pacifier and bottle habits. The responses provided by the chatbots were comparatively analyzed in terms of accuracy, quality, and readability. For both pacifier and bottle topics, ten questions each were examined, with each question further divided into three subcategories. All questions were posed to the chatbots individually following a standardized protocol. The responses were independently evaluated by a pediatric dentistry specialist and a pediatric dentistry research assistant. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS software. The results indicated that ChatGPT-5 provided responses with lower accuracy and quality compared to the other two chatbots (Deepseek V3.2 and Perplexity). In terms of readability scores, Deepseek V3.2 was found to deliver more readable responses than ChatGPT-5 and Perplexity. Overall, artificial intelligence–based chatbots show potential for providing information to parents and can address frequently asked questions concerning children’s pacifier and bottle habits. However, the readability of the responses is critically important for ensuring that parents can effectively comprehend the information provided.
