ESTHETIC AND FUNCTIONAL REHABILITATION OF THE PATIENT WITH SKELETAL CLASS 3 MALOCCLUSION WITH A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT APPROACH: CASE REPORT

Özet

Introductıon: Metal-supported fixed porcelain restoration can be applied in implant treatments for patients who have undergone orthognathic surgery. Aesthetic and functional expectations can be met with this fixed prosthetic treatment applied to patients.CASE

Report: As a result of the of a systemically healthy 40-year-old female patient who applied to Atatürk University Faculty of Dentistry approximately 2 years ago; It was determined that he had an advanced class 3 jaw relationship and had chronic periodontitis dentally. As a result of the patient’s treatment planning, all maxillary were extracted first. the extraction procedure, iliac bone g were applied to the maxilla. The patient was followed up for 6 months and a maxillary chin was prepared for the patient. As a result of the follow-up process, the mandible was moved back 10 mm with sagittal splint surgery. To the patient; A total of 7 dental implants of sizes 4.8-8 mm, 3.7-10 mm, 3.7 12 mm, 4.3 10 mm, 4.3 10 mm, 3.7 10 mm, 3.7α 10 mm were placed in the maxilla; 3.3 10 mm, 3.3 10 mm, 3.3 12 mm, 3.3 10 mm, 3.3 10 mm. 6 dental implants of sizes 10 mm, 3.3 and 10 mm were applied to the mandibula. (Implance TR)Following the application of dental implants and a 4-month osteointegration process, an open impression was taken from the patient using open impression posts and type A silicone. At the next appointment, a closing record was taken and the vertical dimension was determined. Then, metal framework control and color selection were made. At the next appointment, the dentures were cemented after dentin control and glazing procedures. No problems were observed at the patient’s follow-up appointment.

RESULT: Implantological treatment and metal-supported porcelain restorations applied to patients undergoing surgical procedures can meet aesthetic and functional expectations.
