Due to environmental problems caused by fossil fuels and the increasing environmental awareness, considering that the ever-groving demand for alternative energy resources, importance of renewable energy resources are emerged once again. Geothermal energy depending on temperature is used in various areas such as particularly electric power generation, house heating, greenhouse heating, thermal tourism-treatment and industry. Eastern Anatolia Region because of geological structure has many but low temperature geothermal resources. When compared with low temperature geothermal waters usage areas, now these waters which servicing to thermal tourism, aren't used adequately. In this study, is presented recommendations about Eastern Anatolia geothermal resources, usage areas and assessment.
