Humanity has always wanted to leave an artistic mark on the world in which it lives, and almost every society and civilisation from primitive societies to the present day have left concrete traces reflecting their aesthetic perceptions. Throughout history, people have brought their creativity to the forefront through art by drawing, making sounds, dancing, making physical movements and telling stories. Since the beginning of humanity, people of all ages, men, women and children, have used art in all areas of life to communicate with others, to depict their experiences, to face their fears, to celebrate their successes and for many other reasons (Akça, 2022). Starting from birth, people who want to discover and learn in every period of life carefully examine what is happening around them through their senses, thus increasing their knowledge and experience. In the same way, art is shaped by the structure of the environment in which it lives and also shapes the individual. Since children's reaction to their environment is primarily emotional and aesthetic, it is necessary to give importance to art from early childhood. Being involved in art from an early age not only helps the development of aesthetic values, but also contributes to mental development. Especially in early childhood, children can express themselves more easily through artistic activities. If children are fully equipped with artistic competences, their explorativeness increases and they experience different ways to solve their problems. While expressing themselves and their feelings through art, children not only get away from stress but also satisfy their desire to create. Through art, children can express themselves freely without being put into moulds (Balkaş, 2020).
