ÖZET
Araştırmanın amacı; Sosyal Bilgiler ders kitaplarında kullanılan edebî türlerin kazanım, içerik ve değerler açısından uygunluğunu saptamak; sınıf düzeyleri ve öğrenme alanlarına göre dağılımını tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında 5, 6 ve 7. sınıflarda okutulan farklı yayınevlerine ait toplam 3 ders kitabı incelenmiştir. Nitel yaklaşımın benimsendiği bu çalışma, doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile yürütülmüş ve veriler içerik analizi tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, tablolar halinde sunulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda; 5. Sınıf ders kitabında yer alan “Geçmişten Geleceğe Armağan: Ortak Miras” konusunda kullanılan roman, hikâye ve şiir türlerinin dışında, tüm sınıf düzeylerinde kullanılan edebî türlerin ve bu türler üzerinden hazırlanan etkinliklerin ilgili kazanımları gerçekleştirmeye, konunun içeriğine ve öğrencilerin sahip olması istenilen değerleri kazandırmaya uygun olduğu tespit edilmiştir. En az edebi türün 6. sınıf ders kitabında, en fazla edebî türün 7. sınıf ders kitabında yer aldığı görülmüştür. Tüm sınıf düzeyleri toplamında en çok kullanılan edebî türün şiir olduğu belirlenmiştir. En fazla edebi türün kullanıldığı öğrenme alanlarının ise; “Kültür ve Miras” ile “Üretim, Dağıtım ve Tüketim” öğrenme alanlarının olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Edebi türlerin yer verilmediği öğrenme alanlarının, 5. sınıfta “Birey ve Toplum”, “Bilim, Teknoloji ve Toplum”, 6. sınıfta “İnsanlar, Yerler ve Çevreler”, “Bilim, Teknoloji ve Toplum”, “Üretim, Dağıtım ve Tüketim”, “Etkin Vatandaşlık”, “Küresel Bağlantılar”, 7. sınıfta “Küresel Bağlantılar” öğrenme alanları olduğu belirlenmiştir.

INVESTIGATION OF LITERATURE GENRES IN SOCIAL STUDIES TEXTBOOKS IN TERMS OF ACHIEVEMENT, CONTENT AND VALUES
ABSTRACT
Purpose of the research; to determine the suitability of literary genres used in Social Studies
textbooks in terms of acquisition, content and values and to determine their distribution according
to grade levels and learning areas. For this purpose, a total of 3 textbooks belonging to different
publishers, which were taught in the 5th, 6th and 7th grades in the 2021-2022 academic year, were
examined. This study, in which the qualitative approach was adopted, was carried out with the
document analysis method and the data were analyzed with the content analysis technique. The
findings were presented in tables and interpreted. As a result of the research; Apart from the types
of novels, stories and poems used in the subject of "Gift from the Past to the Future: Common

Heritage" in the 5th grade textbook, the literary genres used at all grade levels and the activities
prepared based on these genres are aimed at realizing the relevant acquisitions, providing the
content of the subject and gaining the desired values for the students found to be suitable. It was
seen that the least literary genre was included in the 6th grade textbook, and the most literary
genre was in the 7th grade textbook. The learning areas where the most literary genres are used are;
It has been determined that there are learning areas of Culture and Heritage and Production, Distribution and Consumption. Learning areas that do not include literary genres are "Individual
and Society", "Science, Technology and Society" in the 5th grade, "People, Places and
Environments" in the 6th grade, "Science, Technology and Society", "Production, Distribution and
Consumption”, "Active Citizenship", "Global Connections", in the 7th grade "Global
Connections" were determined as learning areas.
