Özet
In this study, the aim was to adapt the Child and Adolescent Trauma Screening-2 (CATS-2) to Turkish and evaluate its psychometric properties. The study also examined how posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, depression, and anxiety are associated with each other. The results showed that the Turkish CATS-2 is a valid and reliable tool for assessing trauma-related symptoms in children and adolescents. Network analysis revealed that emotion regulation occupies a central position in the symptom network and has strong connections with re-experiencing and hyperarousal symptoms. Further analysis indicated that anxiety and relational difficulties are strongly connected to other symptoms within the network. Overall, the findings suggest that emotion regulation difficulties, anxiety, and relational problems are important aspects of trauma-related symptom patterns in children and adolescents. The Turkish CATS-2 can be used to help understand these symptom patterns, supporting research and practice in evaluating trauma responses in youth.
