In order to meet the increasing energy need due to rapidly developing technology, the search for alternative energy sources has increased the interest to solar cells in recent years. This study presents the photoelectrochemical properties of electrochemically produced p-type chromium(III) oxide nanostructures. X-ray powder diffraction spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and photocurrent density measurements were used for the structural, morphological and photoelectrochemical characterization of the synthesized electrodes. As a result of the measurements, it has been determined that the characterized electrodes has a potential to be used as photocathode in photovoltaic cells.
