The Turkish divan of the fifteenth-century poet Aynî of Karamanlı is a rich source for studies on astronomy and astrology in classical Turkish poetry. The poet's kaside, also known as Nazmu'l-Eflâk, in which he describes the constellations, zodiac signs, and the ranges of the moon, is a text that shows his knowledge in this field. The ode is one hundred and twenty-seven couplets; couplets 26-92 are the main section where the fixed stars in the southern and northern hemispheres, the zodiac signs, and the moon ranges are described. In this section, the poet describes the images of the constellations, indicates the number of stars, and introduces any prominent stars. This section is rich in terminology. The following sections of the kaside are about the praise of Hz. Ali, Ahl al-Bayt, the twelve imams, and the denigration of Yazid. In this article, an attempt has been made to analyze the astronomy-related parts of the Nazm al-Aflāq kaside; fifty-four couplets from the kaside have been emphasized. The article aims to contribute to studies on astronomy and astrology in Classical Turkish literature. For this reason, the names of the constellations/stars mentioned in the kaside in other sources were investigated, and these elements were tried to be explained based on the sources.
