Computer-aided designs that develop with the use of technology today strengthen the bond between the customer
and the manufacturer. In addition, it offers realistic images in the transformation processes of the product from the
idea stage to the physical product stage. The final image of the product can be prepared while it is still in the design
phase, and virtual prototyping and demonstrations can be made thanks to the software programs used. It is very
advantageous to examine a product whose CAD model is prepared with its real image before production. Because it
enables testing of possible design options and presenting the design to the customer in a virtual environment before
the final product.
The study is presented to the reader through a virtual prototyping sample capsule collection with the VStitcher 3D
design program. VStitcher 3D fashion design program; It is a software program that allows the design to be prepared
exactly in size and in the desired configuration in 3D. Fashion designers are able to achieve realistic visualizations with
this program on many subjects, from designing clothes to creating color and style with fabric ornaments and decorative
elements.
VStitcher 3D design program, which shaped the infrastructure of the research, was purchased by the Scientific
Research Projects Coordination Unit of Atatürk University within the scope of the project numbered SKP-2021-10116.
The capsule collection created with the program was handled with the theme of "tales" and each of the collection
pieces was shown on parametric avatars. Patterns of clothing designs are prepared on the 2D screen and the parts of
the model are combined with the sewing menu. The collection is complete ornament/decorative elements. Later,
fabric accessory applications were made with animated simulations. The following results were obtained in the study;
In the prototyping phase of fashion design processes, creating virtual prototypes instead of physical samples increases
the speed of control and correction processes, and prototypes can be made at less cost.
