The use of e-arbitration has not been
a dream in practice. It has already been used for
e-signatures, declarations via e-mail of contracst
and for the submission of evidence. Development
of technology and the COVID-19 pandemic have
made it more likely that e-arbitration will be used
to settle international commercial disputes. While
this development cannot be entirely attributed to
the pandemic, it has nonetheless increased the
attractiveness of e-arbitration. E-arbitration does
resemble offline arbitration in some respects, but
it is distinguished by several techical and legal
issues in practice. This article critically discusses
the practice of e-arbitration in the legal concept
and addresses concerns that arise from the virtual
arbitration process.
