Materials and Methods: 22 children who were educated in a special education and rehabilitation center participated in the research. The ages of the children are in the range of 7-14 years. 10 of the children were girls and 12 of them were boys. At the beginning, children's interest in basic skills (walking, running, jumping, throwing tennis ball, long jump, holding the thrown ball, hitting the thrown ball with foot, bouncing the ball) was recorded by applying pretests. At the end of the 2-month period, basic skills (walking, running, jumping, throwing tennis ball, long jump, holding the thrown ball, hitting the thrown ball with the foot, bouncing the ball) tests were applied as the posttests and recorded again. The results of the research were analyzed in the SSPS 20 program and the pre-test and post-test results were compared. Findings As a result of the research, while a significant improvement was observed in the tests of walking, running, jumping, throwing tennis ball, long jump, which are among the basic skills tests of the children, no significant improvement was observed in the tests of holding the thrown ball, hitting the thrown ball with the foot, bouncing the ball. Conclusion and Evaluation As a result, it was concluded that special movement training prepared and applied for therapeutic recreation provides improvement in children's basic skills, and they will be successful if ball-related skills are applied in a more programmed way.
