Our aim was to investigate the survival rate at the hatching and yolk sac stage of close-rearing and crossbred rainbow trout population (Erzurum female X Erzurum male - E-female x E-male; Erzurum female X Silifke male - E-female x S-male; Silifke female X Silifke male - S-female x S-male; Silifke female X Erzurum male - S-female x E-male). A total of 32,976 eggs were incubated, 29,012 of which hatched. The survival rate of the larvae was 88%. The insemination rate, brooding yield and hatching rate of E-female x E-male, E-female x S-male, S-female x S-male and S-female x E-male were 97.33 +/- 0.57, 97.66 +/- 0.57, 97.33 +/- 0.57 and 97.33 +/- 0.57; 93.43 +/-1.81, 93.40 +/- 1.85, 72.00 +/- 33.80, 88.00 +/- 9.64. and 95.47 +/- 2.052, 94.73 +/- 2.65, 73.80 +/- 34.66, and 90.17 +/- 9.71%, respectively. Although the differences among all determined averages were not significant, the hatching yield was 20% lower for the S-female x S-male group.
