Özet:
The present study examines the concept of "monster" in the art of Iran and Turkey, emphasizing its philosophical, social, and artistic significance. The research includes a review of the literature, formulation of research objectives and questions, and the use of multifaceted methods such as social semiotics of images, critical discourse analysis, and qualitative content analysis. The data consist of selected paintings and artworks from both countries, and the analyses are conducted based on theoretical concepts of the monster, social representation, biopolitics, and the grotesque. Ultimately, the study provides a synthesis and comparative analysis, highlighting the similarities and differences in the representation of monsters in Iranian and Turkish art.
