Prof. Semra KARACA

Biography

Semra Karaca is a professor working in Department of Chemistry at the Atatürk University. She received his MSc. in 1987 and his PhD in 1993 in Analytical Chemistry from Atatürk University. She became professor in 2009 at Atatürk University. She colloborated with Tabriz University within the scope of 2221 TÜBİTAK project between 2014-2015 years.Her mainly research interests contain clays, organo clays, synthesis, characterization and applications of nanostructured catalysts for the removal of contaminant compounds by using adsorption and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) involving ultrasound-assisted, photocatalysis, ozonation, Fenton and  Sono-Fenton  processes. She still continues to work in the same department.
