Mustafa Tayfun Üstün completed his postgraduate education in the Nationalism and Ethnic Conflicts program at the University of London-Birkbeck College in 2010 and his doctorate in Ethnic and Political Studies at the University of Exeter in 2016. He began to work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Republican History at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University between 2017 and 2019. Since 2019, he has been working full-time faculty member at Atatürk University, Department of International Relations. Continuing his academic studies on regional studies, international politics, international migration and Armenian diaspora, Mustafa Tayfun Üstün also works as the vice director of Atatürk University Turkish-Armenian Relations Research Center. He has national and international publications in his research interests and various research projects that he carries out.
