Biography
Yavuz Taşkesenligil was born in Erzurum, Turkey in 1964. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty, Atatürk University in 1985. He started to work as a research assistant at the same department in 1986. In 1992, he received his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Metin Balci. In 2001, he obtained the status of Professor. Currently, he is working at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty. His research interests include the synthesis and chemistry of strained organic molecules (allenes and alkynes), high temperature bromination, science and chemistry education.
