Prof. Mehmet TÖRENEK

Biography

He was born in 1959 in Erzincan. After graduating from Atatürk University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature, he started to work as an instructor in 1985 at the same university. In 1987, he completed his master's degree with his thesis titled “Turkish Story between 1908-1918”. He started working as a lecturer in 1990 and continued as a research assistant. In 1994, he completed his PhD with the thesis titled “Novels and Stories of Mehmet Rauf”.

In 1994 he was appointed as Assistant Professor, 2000 as Associate Professor and in 2007 as Professor. Currently, Törenek continues his academic studies on Turkish Language and Literature at Atatürk University
