Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra KAVAZ is an academic staff at Ataturk University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics. She received her Bachelor's (Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Department of Physics Teaching, 2009), and Ph.D. (Atomic and Molecular Physics, 2016) degrees from Ataturk University. She was awarded TUBITAK 2211- Domestic Doctorate Scholarship between 2010-2015 during her doctoral education. She started to work as a Research Assistant at Atatürk University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics in 2011. In the same department, she continued working as a Dr. Research Assistant between 2016-2019 and Dr. Instructor between 2019-2020. She received her Associate Professor degree in 2020. She has nearly 130 articles in journals within the scope of SCI and SCOPUS, around 46 papers presented in national and international symposiums, and 4 book chapters published in international publishing houses. According to the SCOPUS index, she has an h- index of 39, and her publications cited more than 4000 citations to date. In 2020, 2021 2022 and 2023, She was included in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists” list published by STANFORD University. She was also awarded many times in the field of research by Atatürk University. In 2021, She received the Turkish Physics Society’s “Prof. Dr. Şevket ERK Young Scientist Award.”
